Step 2: Embed the playback code into your web page

Click on the embed code button ( embed button ) for the newly created broadcast. Copy and paste the embed code into your web page HTML source code.

If you use Wordpress or Joomla, please follow these instructions before embedding the playback code:

Wordpress users: Use the 'Text' tab when editing your page and enclose the embed code using <code> and </code> tags..

Joomla v1.5 users: Turn off HTML filtering by following the instructions found here.

Joomla v1.7 users: In the Joomla admin interface, set Article Manger → Options → Text Filters → Super Users → No Filter. Make sure that you only set this option for user groups that can be trusted as setting the Filter Type to 'No Filtering' will essentially allow the user to include any html in an article.

Joomla v2.5 users: In the Joomla 'Global Configuration' interface, click on 'Text Filters' tab and for the 'Super Users' group, set 'Filter Type' to 'No Filtering'. Make sure that you only set this option for user groups that can be trusted as setting the Filter Type to 'No Filtering' will essentially allow the user to include any html in an article.

Still having embed issues with Joomla? If the video player still doesn't look right, change the default editor to 'Editor - None' (Site → Global Configuration → Site → Default editor). Paste the embed code and then switch back to your regular Joomla editor.
Step 3: Download and install Flash Media Live Encoder

Download and install Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder either from Adobe's site (registration required) or by using the download link for it found on your Broadcasts page.

Step 4: Enable 'Stream synchronization' for FMLE
This step can be skipped if you do not plan to use Adaptive Bitrate Streaming.

Following installation you will need to make a slight modification to the Flash Media Live Encoder configuration file in order to make Adaptive Bitrate Streaming stable for multi bitrate videos.

1. Open the Flash Media Live Encoder installation folder and edit the configuration file conf \ config.xml using any plain text editor.

Default FMLE installation locations:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2.
MacOS: Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe:Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2

2. Find the <streamsynchronization> tag and two lines below it you'll see an <enable> tag. Change this parameter to true. i.e.:

edit flash media live encoder

3. Save the file.

Step 5: Download the FMLE profile for the broadcast

The FMLE profile is a .xml file used to configure the encoding settings in Flash Media Live Encoder. From your Broadcasts page click on the red icon corresponding to the broadcast created. Download and save the FMLE profile for the newly created broadcast.

Download FMLE profile.

Step 6: Load the downloaded profile in FMLE and go live

Start Flash Media Live Encoder and select FileOpen Profile. Navigate to the folder where the FMLE profile was saved, select it, and click Open. You will receive a 'Profile validation' warning. This is normal and can be ignored. FMLE is now configured with the correct server and encoder settings for the newly created broadcast.
